🇹🇭 @amp_kanjutha became the subject of online vitriol after her opponent refused to fight her at the Asian MMA Association Championships, falsely claiming Amp was ‘not a woman’. Both of those Emma's feel a whole lifetime away now, but they're still in there somewhere ✨ "Please accept me as a woman. 📢 Thailand recently announced the much-awaited criminalisation of sexual harassment, as well as other legal amendments which improve protections against various forms of sexual violence 🇹🇭  Starting off 2026 by sharing 3 common misconceptions that I hear when talking about sexual harassment & abuse in Muay Thai. Someone recently asked me if we really did have to wear these, so I thought I'd bring this back. These clips are from some of my first fights at Rangsit Stadium, in 2012 & 2013. Back then, this was the only stadium where women could fight in Bangkok, and we were required to wear chest guards provided by the stadium (and groin guards that were basically big foam diapers, too). If I'd known that the first time I'd fought there, I wouldn't have worn a tank top (you can see how that worked out at the end) 🥲
